The Hoptown Hoppers defeated the Owensboro Oilers, 8-4

(From Hopkinsville) The Hoptown Hoppers found a way to get they're last home game win over the visiting Owensboro Oilers Tuesday night. The Hoppers got it started in the bottom of the first, scoring two runs off sacrifice flys from Seth Larue and Chase Denton.

     The Oilers came back strong in the top of the second with an RBI single from Rogers and Tyler Shewmaker to even the score. A two RBI double from Tyler Tichenor put the Oilers ahead, 4-2.

     The Hoppers took the lead back in the bottom of the fourth. Brandon Boggetto reached on home off a couple errors by the oilers when he stole second base. Trevor Lowe had a RBI triple  followed by a RBI single from Matt McGowan, giving the Hoppers the lead, 5-4. The Hoppers pulled away with three more runs in the bottom of the Fifth. Zac Carter had an RBI single and Trevor Lowe hit a two RBI single that was enough to get win.

     Craig Caufield grabbed the save for the Hoppers and Austin Brunk had the loss for the Oilers.
