The Dubois County Bombers defeated the Madisonville Miners, 3-2
The Miners fell short by one run for the third game in a row to the visiting Dubois County Bombers on Saturday. After three innings the Miners lead the Bombers 2-1 and held on until the 7th inning when the Bombers scored a tying run from a balk with a runner on third. The Bombers then got a second run from 2 singles for to make the final score 3-2. Glenn Jones is credited with the game winning RBI which was the only run batted in by either team on the evening.
Starter Ryan Dills earned the win with 7 innings pitched with 10 strikeouts, giving up 3 hits and 2 earned runs, and walking none. Brandon Hicks get a save for the final inning pitched. The losing pitcher Luke Floer allowed 5 hits, 2 earned runs, one walk and struck out 3 with 3 2/3 innings in relief. The Miners remain winless through six games on the season while the Bombers improve to 2-3.
