The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Owensboro Oilers, 3-1

In 7 innings. (From Owensboro). The Owensboro Oilers hosted the Fulton Railroaders to a Thursday twi-night doubleheader of seven inning games and split the evening by mirror scores. Fulton took the opener 3 to 1, but Owensboro claimed the nightcap 3 to 1 as well.

     In Game 1: The Railroaders scored 1 run in the top of the 5th inning. With two away Andrew Young reached base on a bunt. He moved to third base as Dylan Rajkovich doubled. Young scored on an RBI single by Troy Squires, but Rajkovich was cut down attempting to take third base. Fulton made it a 3 to 0 lead with two more runs in the top of the 6th inning. Jeremiah Spring reached on a fielder's choice that put one out at second base. Spring stole second base and took third base on a defensive error. Greg Fettes followed with a RBI single to score Spring. Tyler Marshall singled and Fettes went to third. Marshall tried unsuccessfully for second base second base. Fettes scored on a RBI single by Reed Johnson.
     The Oilers rallied for their lone game one run in the bottom of the 7th inning. With one away, pinch-hitter Alfredo Bohorques singled, pinch hitter Braxton Brinkley reached on a two-base error that put runners on third base and second base. Bohorques scored on a RBI groundout from pinch-hitter Christian McHatton. The Oilers came no closer in the first tilt.
     The winning pitcher was Fulton starter CJ Lee, and John Lollar picked up the save. Oilers starter Caleb Johnson bore the home team loss.
