The Dubois County Bombers defeated the Fulton Railroaders, 5-3

In 7 innings. (From Dubois County)   In game two the Bombers got off to a quick start in the nightcap of the doubleheader, scoring in three of the first four frames. In the bottom of the first, Nick Gobert repeated his game-winning RBI heroics by singling in Nick Barrientos. Gobert added yet another RBI single in the third, driving in Caleb Lonkard. Barrientos also scored in the third on the benefit of a Fulton error.
Up 3-0 after three, the Bombers added two more in the fourth. Caleb King led off with a triple. Jacob Roberts followed with a single and came in to score on Caleb Lonkard's sacrifice fly.
Meanwhile, the Railroaders threatened rallies time after time but couldn't push any runs across until the sixth inning. In the sixth, a walk and a pair of bomber errors produced two runs for the Railroaders. Tyler Harden and Lance Mays both scored when Dubois County reliever Christian Vain threw wildly on a play at first base.
Jacob Murray, a newcomer for the Bombers, came out of the bullpen for his first appearance of the season.
An error by Gobert combined with a hit batter and the Railroaders quickly had the tying run at the plate with nobody out. Murray struck out Tyler Marshall looking, before Zach Bailey singled in a run. Bailey then stole second base. The tying runs were in scoring position with only one out. But Tyler Harden also went down looking at strike three, and Andrew Young hit a grounder to the Bombers star of the night, Nick Gobert to close out the night's action.
A crowd of 1872 passed through the League Stadium turnstiles on this Saturday of Father's Day weekend. They went home happy. Johnathan Williams gets the win in his first decision of the season. Justin Vernia takes the loss in his first appearance. The Bombers are now 5-7 on the season and are tied for third place with the 4-6 Railroaders.
