The Owensboro Oilers defeated the Fulton Railroaders, 2-1

The home team Oilers beat the Railroaders in a close, low scoring game to move Owensboro within a half game of league leading Hopkinsville.  The loss moved Fulton down into fourth place behind Dubois County who won their game against Madisonville.

     The Oilers' 2 runs came from 8 hits, they had one error and they stranded 11 men on base. The first run scored came in the bottom of the 3rd from a RBI single by Tyler Rachel driving in Alferdo Bohorques on third who had reach on a single and stole two bases.  The Oilers' final run came in the 6th inning with a RBI single from Braxton Brinkley scoring Dalton West who walked and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt and ground out.

     The Railroaders had 4 hits total, with one error and left 8 runners on base.  Fulton's only run came in the 8th inning on a RBI single by Reed Johnson scoring Grey Fettes who had reach on a fielder's choice.

     Owensboro starter Brandon Jean gets the win for 7 innings of work allowing 2 hits, 2 walks and had 4 strikeouts.  Mark Chemello picked up a save closing out the final inning.  The loss goes to Fulton starter Jake Bauer who threw for 5 innings giving up 6 hits, 2 walks and striking out 2 at the plate.
