(At Madisonville) The Miners won their sixth game of season on Saturday taking down the Hoppers and handing Hoptown their fourth straight loss. Madisonville scored 2 runs in both the 4th and 8th innings with 7 hits total in the game. Hopkinsville's one run came in the 8th and had 6 game hits. Both teams committed 2 errors each.
For the Miners; Nick Calandra was 3 of 4 at bat and scored twice, and Jackson Martin went 1 for 4 with 2 RBI and one run scored.
The Hoppers' Ben Rodriguez one hit produced the RBI score for Hoptown, and Mitchell Gallagher was 3 of 4 at the plate.
Mike Steele gets the win on the mound for 8 innings, was hit 5 times for 1 unearned run, walked one and struck out 4. Reid Clements earned a save closing out the final inning. The loss goes to Brady Walsh who threw for 7 innings allowing 5 hits, tagged for 2 unearned runs, and had one walk and strikeout.
