The Owensboro Oilers defeated the Dubois County Bombers, 3-2

(From Owensboro)  In 7 innings.  The Owensboro Oilers hosted the Dubois County Bombers at the patched up Kamuf Park for a Friday doubleheader. Owensboro won the opener by a 3 to 2 final score. Dubois County split by winning the closer with a 7 to 3 score.

     In Game One -- The Bombers scored one run each in the opening and closing innings. Scoring for Dubois County in the top of the 1st inning was Ty Broady (walk), driven in by Nick Gobert (RBI sacrifice fly).
    Scoring in the bottom of the 3rd inning for Owensboro were Taylor Mathews (single) and Alfredo Bohorques (bunt single). Jake Wilson RBI singled to plate Mathews, while Bohorques scored on a wild pitch.
    Scoring for the Bombers in the top of the 7th inning was Gobert (singled). He eventually scored from third base on an error.
    Scoring for the Oilers in the bottom of the 7th inning was Mathews (single). He came in on a two-out RBI single by Jordan Cessna.
    Owensboro reliever Mark Chemello picked up the win, spelling spot starter Cameron Wallace. The loss went to starter Ryan Dills, who went the distance for the Bombers.
