In 7 innings.  (From Owensboro).  In Game 2: The Owensboro Oilers scored two runs in the bottom of the 1st inning. Morgan Grisham led off the home at-bats by reaching on an error. Alfredo Bohorques bunted on safely, and Grisham took second base. Both runners were sacrificed ahead one base. Tyler Rachel delivered a 2 RBI single to score both Grisham and Bohorques.
     There was no more scoring in the game until the Hopkinsville Hoppers plated one rally run in the bottom of the 7th inning. Scotty Adkins reached on a dropped third strike passed ball., then he stole second base. Two outs later, Meade Kendrick RBI singled to score Adkins. A groundout ended the Hopper rally, and the game at 2 to 1 in home hands.
     The winning pitcher was Oilers starter Cable Wright. Mark Chemello picked up a save in this game, securing the final out. The losing pitcher was Hopkinsville starter Jake McAdams, who went the distance in the effort.
