Upon the conclusion of he final 40 game schedule in the 2014 regular season the Owensboro Oilers achieved the best record finishing 27-13. Post Season Playoffs began on July 23 and each team in the OVL had an opportunity to compete in a post season championship series.    

The Post Season Playoff championship rounds began on July 23 with a single game Round 1 between the 5th seeded Madisonville Miners playing at the 4th seeded Dubois County Bombers, the Miners won the game 6-1 and proceeded to Round 2. 

The Round 2 "best of three" series began on July 24.  The top seeded Owensboro Oilers took on the bottom seeded Miners, and the 2nd seeded Fulton Railroaders faced off with the 3rd seeded Hopkinsville Hoppers.  Both the Hoppers and Oilers swept their opponents two straight games to advance to the final Championship Round 3.

The "best of three" Championship Round began on July 28.  The Owensboro Oilers continued their winning ways and won the first 2 games to take home the Post Season Championship Title as well as the Regular Season Title.  Congrats to all the teams in the OVL for another great season of summer baseball.
