The Owensboro Oilers broke their 8 game losing steak with a shutout victory over the Hoppers in Hopkinsville. Winning the game for Owensboro was Ivey Starling who pitched the complete 9 inning game allowing only 3 hits, one walk and striking out 10 batters.
The Oilers total 13 hits were lead by Ty Broady who was 4-for-5 and scored 3 runs. Three additional Oilers contributed 2 hits and 2 RBI each in the effort; Alfredo Bohorques, Riley Benner, and Mario Tursi.
