The Dubois County Bombers defeated the Owensboro Oilers, 4-0

(From Owensboro) The Owensboro Oilers simultaneously opened the second half of the 2015 season and closed out June by losing both 7-inning games of a Tuesday double header to the visiting DuBois County Bombers. Game 1 went to the visitors by the final score 4 to 0. The home team lost Game 2 by the final score of 8 to 3.
     Game 1: The Bombers scored three runs in the top of the second inning. With one out Jacob Snodgrass singled. Alec Mueller doubled, sending Snodgrass to third base. Snodgrass scored on a RBI single from Brady Pfaadt. Devyn Newberry walked to load the bases. Daniel Johnson reached on fielder's choice that brought Mueller but retired Newberry at second base while Pfaadt moved to third base. Morgan DePew RBI singled to drive in Pfaadt as the third run. DuBois County added one run in the top of 5th inning. With one out, Mark Giesler singled. Noah Sadler and Snodgras s walked back-to-back, loading the bases. Mueller delivered a sacrifice fly to plate Geisler. Going to the bottom of the 5th inning the score was Bombers 4 to Oilers 0. That score became the final. DuBois County starter Ryan Dills wins, pitching a complete doubleheader 7-inning shutout. Owensboro starter Ivey Starling loses, giving up the four runs scored in 4.33 innings pitched.
