The Madisonville Miners defeated the Fulton Railroaders, 1-0

(From Fulton) In a game with outstanding pitching on both sides, the Miners were able to walk away with a one unearned run defeat over the Railroaders in Fulton and take a 1-0 game lead in the playoff semifinals.
The only scoring run came in the top of the third inning with 2 outs. Connor Moss tripled down the third base side with the ball ending up on the Railroaders bullpen. Wesley Birchmeier followed hitting a grounder toward second baseman Brad Baldwin who mishandled the ball for a late throw to first allowing Moss to score.
The shutout victory goes to Madisonville's Mathias Brewer for a complete 9 innings on the mound. He allowed 5 hits with 2 walks and struck out 12 men at the plate.
Fulton's starter Eddie Mathis takes the tough loss with 6 2/3 innings pitched. He gave up only 3 hits, tagged with the one unearned run, walked 3 and had 10 strikeouts. Trey Tigart completed the final 2 1/3 innings allowing only one hit, no walks and handed out 3 strikeouts.
