The Owensboro Oilers defeat the Fulton Railroaders, 15-0

In 7 innings. (From Fulton) In the night cap of the doubleheader the Oilers poured on the runs scoring in all seven innings played. Owensboro pounded out 13 hits, used 3 Fulton errors to produce their 15 runs and only stranded one player on base during the game. The Railroaders were unable to find their bats and were only able to get a total of 2 hits.

 

The Oilers use the long ball to put the game out of reach. Three Homeruns were produced by Seth Woodard (2 RBI), Caleb Spears (solo) and a grand slam by Joe Silva ensured the victory for Owensboro. 

 

The win from the mound goes to Adam Schmitt pitching the complete seven innings. Schmitt threw a strong game shutting out the Railroaders allowing only one walk and had 9 strikeouts. 

 

Hunter Smith takes the loss for Fulton pitching the first 3 2/3 innings. Smith gave up 6 hits, 6 runs (5 earned), one walk and had 5 strikeouts. Ryann Gray, Matt Meihls and Alex Smith finished out the final 2 1/3 innings.
