The Paducah Chiefs defeat the Hoptown Hoppers, 14-10
In 10 innings. In Hopkinsville the Paducah Chiefs won their fifth game in the season while handing the top seeded Hoppers only their second loss on the year. In a closely contested game, the teams were tied at 9-9 after nine innings of regulation play. Top of the tenth inning saw the Chiefs go ahead with 5 runs off two walked in runs plus 3 RBI from two hits. Hoptown could only answer with a lead off solo homerun in the bottom half of the tenth. Both teams punched out 14 hits each with the Chiefs committing 3 errors and the Hoppers had 2 miscues.
