The Fulton Railroaders defeat the Dubois County Bombers, 5-2

(From Fulton) The Railroaders played error free ball to take down the visiting Bombers in Fulton. The win was the second in a row in as many night for Fulton, only their second time in the season for back-to-back victories. Dubois County continued their current struggle losing their sixth game in a row.

 

Scoring the first run in the third inning, The Railroaders held a 1-0 lead until the top of the sixth when Zack Gray hit a 2 RBI double to give the Bombers a 2-1 edge. The DC lead was short lived as Fulton answered in the bottom half with 4 runs off 5 hits and 2 Bomber errors to compete the final scoring for both teams.

 

The Railroaders totaled 12 hits in the game with a RBI each by Alex Smith, Derek Burns, Mason Elliott, and Cameron Curry who doubled in his run.

 

Fulton starter Seth Hougesen gets the win for 6 innings on the mound giving up 5 hits, 2 earned runs, one walk and had 4 strikeouts. After regaining the lead in the seventh inning, Hougesen was relieved by Tyler Magley who completed the final 3 innings and picked up a save.

 

Starter Austin Krizan for Dubois County takes the loss for 5 2/3 innings and tagged for 5 runs (3 earned), one walk and 4 strikeouts. Brian Wichman and Connor Moroder combined to complete the last 2 1/3 innings with a total of 5 strikeouts and issued no walks.
