The Madisonville Miners defeat the Fulton Railroaders, 4-2
(From Fulton) The visiting Miners extended their winning streak to four games beating the Railroaders and handing Fulton their third straight loss. Three of the four runs scored by the Miners were unearned as the Railroaders were hurt by a field throwing error.
Wesley Birchmeier was the standout at the plate for Madisonville going 3-for-4 and 3 RBI on the evening. Both Logan Jarvis and Josh Finerty were 2-for-4 and each scored once.
Derek Burns had two doubles with a RBI, and Andrew Holderman hit a solo homerun to highlight Fulton's scoring.
Jeff Lindgren gets the win for Madisonville pitching 8 innings giving up 7 hits, 2 earned runs, 3 walks and had 5 strikeouts. Mike Ringer picked up a save closing out the final inning of play.
Fulton's starter Hunter Smith takes the hard loss throwing for 7 innings allowing 9 hits, tagged for 4 runs (one earned), no walks and striking out 7 batters. Konnor Aherin completed the final 2 innings with 2 hits, one walk and 3 strikeouts.
