The Owensboro Oilers Won Sunday Night At Home Against The Visiting Hoptown Hoppers

The Owensboro Oilers won Sunday night at home against the visiting Hoptown Hoppers improving to 5 wins and 5 losses at the first quarter turn of the 2017 season. The final score was Hoppers 5 to Oilers 9.

The Oilers surged early, scoring three runs in the bottom of the 1st inning and five runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning to lead 8 to 1 after two complete.

The Hoppers chipped away with one run in the top of the 2nd inning, two runs in the top of the 4th inning, but Owensboro added a run in the bottom of the 5th inning and led 9 to 3 after five complete.
