Paducah Chiefs Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory

Dubois County Bombers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 12-5 loss to Paducah Chiefs on Sunday. Paducah Chiefs scored on a double by Peyton Sockwell, a single by John Mitchum, and a walk by Andrew Lannon in the second inning.

The Dubois County Bombers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Paducah Chiefs, giving up 12 runs.

Paducah Chiefs fired up the offense in the first inning. An error scored one run for Paducah Chiefs.

Dubois County Bombers put up four runs in the third inning. John McDonald and Evan Aders each had RBIs in the big inning.

Stone Selby pitched Paducah Chiefs to victory. He went five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out three. Matthew Jacome and Logan Bowen entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Kevin Davis took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. He lasted two innings, allowing six hits and six runs while striking out three.

Paducah Chiefs tallied 17 hits. Kevin Brenning, Reid Homan, Keyaunte Jones, Mitchum, Clayton Stephens, and Sockwell each collected multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Brenning went 4-for-6 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits. Brenning led Paducah Chiefs with five stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 12 stolen bases.
