Despite a 4-run deficit in the sixth inning, Owensboro RiverDawgs almost came all the way back, eventually falling 8-7 to Dubois County Bombers on Friday. Owensboro RiverDawgs scored three runs in the failed comeback. Seth Price and Jakob Shuler powered the rally with RBIs.

Despite the loss, Owensboro RiverDawgs did collect seven hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Dubois County Bombers had ten hits on the way to victory.

Dubois County Bombers got things started in the first inning. Tanner Craig drove in two when he doubled.

In the bottom of the third inning, Owensboro RiverDawgs tied things up at four when Nick Sanders's sac fly scored one run for Owensboro RiverDawgs.

Dubois County Bombers pulled away for good with one run in the fifth inning. In the fifth Evan Aders singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Owensboro RiverDawgs tallied three runs in the second inning. Austin Peterson had an RBI home run in the inning to lead the run scoring.

Evan Hall pitched Dubois County Bombers to victory. He lasted seven and a third innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out five. Jaxson Blair and Sam Mudd entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Blair recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Dubois County Bombers.

Bo Robison took the loss for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He lasted one-third of an inning, allowing two hits and three runs.

Hayden Wynja started the game for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He allowed three hits and four runs over one-third of an inning, walking one

Owensboro RiverDawgs smacked one home run on the day. Peterson had a homer in the second inning.

Price went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Owensboro RiverDawgs in hits.

Dubois County Bombers racked up ten hits. John McDonald, Jake Lewis, and Evan Kahre all managed multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Dubois County Bombers didn't commit a single error in the field. Chase Andrews had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
