Fulton Railroaders Can't Catch Up To Dubois County Bombers

Fulton Railroaders fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 14-6 loss to Dubois County Bombers on Sunday. Dubois County Bombers scored on a single by Nolan Ramsey in the first inning and a home run by Nick Gonzales in the second inning.

Despite the loss, Fulton Railroaders did collect five hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Dubois County Bombers had 13 hits on the way to victory.

In the bottom of the first inning, Fulton Railroaders tied things up at one. Noah Haupt's sac fly scored one run for Fulton Railroaders.

Dubois County Bombers pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Gonzales homered on a 2-0 count, scoring three runs.

Fulton Railroaders tallied four runs in the fourth inning. Fulton Railroaders's big bats in the inning were led by a single by Cameron Maclntosh and a home run by Matt Higgins.

Dubois County Bombers scored five runs in the third inning. Jake Lewis, Chase Andrews, and Brad Fuhrhop all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Evan Sankey got the win for Dubois County Bombers. He lasted four innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out six and walking one. Jaxson Blair threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Brian Baxa took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. He surrendered nine runs on five hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Colton Easterwood started the game for Dubois County Bombers. He surrendered six runs on five hits over four innings, striking out four

Fulton Railroaders launched one home run on the day. Higgins went yard in the fourth inning.

Maclntosh went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Fulton Railroaders in hits.

Dubois County Bombers saw the ball well today, racking up 13 hits in the game. Payton Mattingly, Tanner Craig, Gonzales, Ramsey, and Cody Bridges all managed multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers.
