Fulton Railroaders Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Owensboro RiverDawgs

Fulton Railroaders stole the lead late in the game in a 9-7 victory over Owensboro RiverDawgs on Wednesday. Fulton Railroaders trailed 7-6 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Jack Gallagher homered on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs.

Owensboro RiverDawgs scored five runs in the second inning, but Fulton Railroaders still managed to pull out the victory. Spencer Deom, Cam Curry, Jakob Shuler, and Najay King all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Owensboro RiverDawgs captured the lead in the second inning. King drove in two when he singled.

Fulton Railroaders took the lead for good with four runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Tyler McCown grounded out, scoring one run.

Caleb Neal pitched Fulton Railroaders to victory. He allowed three hits and two runs over five innings, striking out five and walking zero. Kody Davidson and Blake Wheeler entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Davidson recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Fulton Railroaders.

Trevor Salmon took the loss for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He allowed one hit and two runs over one and two-thirds innings, walking one.

Chance Shepard started the game for Fulton Railroaders. He lasted two innings, allowing three hits and five runs while striking out one Carlos Pena started the game for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He lasted five and a third innings, allowing seven hits and seven runs while striking out one

Fulton Railroaders hit two home runs on the day. Gallagher put one out in the sixth inning. McCown went deep in the first inning.
