Paducah Chiefs Falls To Hoptown Hoppers After Extra Innings Score

Sunday's game against Hoptown Hoppers was a heartbreaker for Paducah Chiefs, as they lost the lead late in an 8-6 defeat. The game was tied at five with Hoptown Hoppers batting in the top of the tenth when John Keane singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Despite the loss, Paducah Chiefs did collect nine hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Hoptown Hoppers had 15 hits on the way to victory.

Hoptown Hoppers captured the lead in the third inning. Hoptown Hoppers scored one run when Aidan Elias singled.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Paducah Chiefs tied things up at five. Nick Shumaker singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

MJ Rookard was credited with the victory for the Hoptown Hoppers. He went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and walking zero.

Logan Bowen took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. He surrendered three runs on six hits over six innings, striking out two.

Mason Vineyard started the game for Paducah Chiefs. He went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out three Shane Burns started the game for Hoptown Hoppers. He lasted five innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out five

Paducah Chiefs collected nine hits on the day. Keyaunte Jones, Reid Pope, and Shumaker each managed multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Jones went 3-for-6 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits.

Hoptown Hoppers scattered 15 hits in the game. Cole Cummings, Elias, Keane, and Jackson all collected multiple hits for the Hoptown Hoppers. Cummings led the Hoptown Hoppers with three hits in seven at-bats.
