Even though Madisonville Miners gave up three runs in the ninth inning, they still defeated Hoptown Hoppers 11-4 on Tuesday. The big inning for Hoptown Hoppers came thanks to singles by Blake Jackson and Davis Keller.

Madisonville Miners got things started in the second inning. Nate Chevalier singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Madisonville Miners tallied five runs in the eighth inning. The offensive firepower by Madisonville Miners was led by Corey Kelley, Hunter Mercer, and Sean Kearney, who all drove in runs.

Nicholas Rathke took the win for Madisonville Miners. He went six innings, allowing one run on eight hits and striking out six. Logan Brewer threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Brewer recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Madisonville Miners.

Kyle Turner took the loss for the Hoptown Hoppers. He went three innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out three and walking zero.

Madisonville Miners tallied two home runs on the day. Kearney put one out in the eighth inning. Mercer went for the long ball in the eighth inning.

Madisonville Miners tallied 12 hits on the day. Chevalier, Graham Hackbarth, Mercer, and George De La Fe all had multiple hits for Madisonville Miners. Chevalier went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Madisonville Miners in hits.

Hoptown Hoppers tallied 13 hits. Max Remy, Keller, Jackson, and Tyler Graham each racked up multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers.
