Paducah Chiefs Clinches Lead In Seventh Inning For Victory Over Muhlenberg County Stallions

Paducah Chiefs defeated Muhlenberg County Stallions 7-4 on Wednesday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at four with Paducah Chiefs batting in the bottom of the seventh when Reid Homan singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Paducah Chiefs captured the lead in the second inning when Andrew Lannon grounded out, scoring two runs.

Muhlenberg County Stallions knotted the game up at four in the top of the sixth inning, when an error scored one run for Muhlenberg County Stallions.

After Muhlenberg County Stallions scored one run in the top of the fifth, Paducah Chiefs answered with one of their own. Muhlenberg County Stallions scored when Noah Myers tripled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Paducah Chiefs then answered when a sacrifice bunt by Clayton Stephens scored one run for Paducah Chiefs.

Jacob Laws led the Paducah Chiefs to victory on the hill. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out eight, and walking one. Teal Young threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Hunter Combs took the loss for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He surrendered three runs on three hits over one inning, walking one.

Andrew Patterson started the game for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He lasted six innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out three Henry Boechmann started the game for Paducah Chiefs. He allowed four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out six and walking one
