Ben Teel came the ballpark and meant business on Friday, driving in five on three hits to lead Madisonville Miners past Muhlenberg County Stallions 10-4 on Friday. Teel drove in runs on a single in the first and a grand slam in the second.

Muhlenberg County Stallions scored four runs in the third inning, but Madisonville Miners still managed to pull out the victory. Muhlenberg County Stallions batters contributing to the big inning included Reece Puckett, Anthony Hennings, Will Myers, and Luke Kuester, all driving in runs in the inning.

Madisonville Miners got on the board in the first inning. Teel singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Madisonville Miners put up six runs in the second inning. Charlie Szykowny, Colton Olasin, and Teel all drove in runs in the frame.

Justin Hallum earned the victory on the hill for Madisonville Miners. He surrendered four runs on four hits over six and a third innings, striking out six. Zack Toth threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Jordan Gould took the loss for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He allowed seven hits and eight runs over two innings.

Madisonville Miners smacked two home runs on the day. Teel went deep in the second inning. Jackson Jarvis put one out in the fifth inning.
