Muhlenberg County Stallions Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Fulton Railroaders
Muhlenberg County Stallions took the lead late in the game in a 9-4 victory over Fulton Railroaders on Tuesday. The game was tied at four with Muhlenberg County Stallions batting in the bottom of the sixth when Seth Taylor drew a walk, scoring one run.
Muhlenberg County Stallions earned the victory despite allowing Fulton Railroaders to score four runs in the fifth inning. Luke McKenzie and Davis Lott each drove in runs during the inning.
Muhlenberg County Stallions took the lead for good with six runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Peyton Lipe was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, Taylor drew a walk, scoring one run, Jake Edwards drew a walk, scoring one run, Reece Puckett singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, and Will Myers doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
Nick Casey led the Muhlenberg County Stallions to victory on the hill. He went one inning, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out one and walking one. Allen Howe threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Howe recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Muhlenberg County Stallions.
Noah Vickers took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. He allowed three runs on zero hits and walked one.
