Hoptown Hoppers Smack 14 Hits, Lose To Henderson Flash

Hoptown Hoppers fell 19-6 to Henderson Flash on Wednesday despite out-hitting them 14 to 12.

Hoptown Hoppers collected 14 hits and Henderson Flash had 12 in the high-scoring affair.

Hoptown Hoppers took an early lead in the first inning. Hoptown Hoppers scored one run when Michael Conn singled.

Henderson Flash took the lead for good with 11 runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Trey Hutchison homered on a 0-1 count, scoring three runs, Trevor Campbell singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Noah Brown drew a walk, scoring one run, Brandon Boxer singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, Austin Domer singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs, Tyler Walton induced Hutchison to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Henderson Flash scored on a stolen base during Justen Freeman's at bat. Then Freeman singled , driving in one.

Jared Hart got the win for Henderson Flash. He allowed four hits and zero runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one. Garrett Simpson threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Lane Diuguid took the loss for Hoptown Hoppers. He lasted four and a third innings, allowing six hits and ten runs.
