Muhlenberg County Stallions Holds Off Fulton Railroaders For Victory

Muhlenberg County Stallions built a five-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off Fulton Railroaders's charge for a 7-5 victory on Wednesday. Fulton Railroaders scored four runs in the failed comeback on a single by Davis Lott in the fifth, a single by Ty Wooton in the fifth, and a double by O'Neil Burgos in the sixth.

An early lead helped propel Muhlenberg County Stallions to victory. Muhlenberg County Stallions scored on a fielder's choice by Tucker Jordan in the first inning, a home run by Luke Kuester in the second inning, a walk by Reece Puckett in the second inning, and a sacrifice fly by Adrian Minjares in the second inning.

Muhlenberg County Stallions pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Kuester hit a solo homer, Puckett drew a walk, scoring one run, and Minjares's sac fly scored one run for Muhlenberg County Stallions.

Nate Cunningham earned the victory on the mound for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He allowed six hits and four runs over two and a third innings, striking out one and walking one. Cal Johnston threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Johnston recorded the last four outs to earn the save for Muhlenberg County Stallions.
