Paducah Chiefs Claims Lead In Fourth Inning To Defeat Hoptown Hoppers

Paducah Chiefs stole the lead late and defeated Hoptown Hoppers 10-5 on Wednesday. The game was tied at five with Paducah Chiefs batting in the bottom of the fourth when Bryson Bloomer doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Hoptown Hoppers scored five runs in the fourth inning, but Paducah Chiefs still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Hoptown Hoppers came thanks to a triple by Hunter Evans, a sacrifice fly by Santrel Farmer, and a fielder's choice by Brant Husser.

Paducah Chiefs fired up the offense in the first inning, when Alan Roden's sac fly scored one run for Paducah Chiefs.

Blake Bagenstos was the winning pitcher for Paducah Chiefs. He went one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out two and walking one.

Will Nash took the loss for Hoptown Hoppers. He surrendered ten runs on ten hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three.

Paducah Chiefs racked up ten hits in the game. Brenton Tidd and Bloomer each managed multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Tidd went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits.

Micah Genter led Hoptown Hoppers with two hits in three at bats. Hoptown Hoppers was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Evans made the most plays with five.
