Nothing came easy for Madisonville Miners on Saturday, as they fell 12-5 to Muhlenberg County Stallions

Madisonville Miners took an early lead in the first inning. Calyn Halvorson homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Muhlenberg County Stallions took the lead for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third Freddie Reams induced Parker Stroh to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Bentley Boekhout drew a walk, scoring one run, and Noah Phillips singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Trevor McGee earned the victory on the hill for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The pitcher went nine innings, allowing five runs on eight hits and striking out nine.

Reams took the loss for Madisonville Miners. The pitcher surrendered eight runs on five hits over three innings, striking out one.

Madisonville Miners tallied two home run on the day. Halvorson had a four bagger in the first and eighth innings.
