Paducah Chiefs Claims Blow Out Win Over Owensboro RiverDawgs Thanks To Third Inning Boost

Paducah Chiefs defeated Owensboro RiverDawgs 11-1 on Friday thanks to six runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Bailey Reed and Ja'lil Akbar and a walk by Riley Hawthorne.

Paducah Chiefs opened up scoring in the second inning, when Reed singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Paducah Chiefs notched six runs in the third inning. Paducah Chiefs big bats were led by Hawthorne, Reed, and Akbar, all driving in runs in the frame.

Carter Park was the winning pitcher for Paducah Chiefs. Park surrendered one run on two hits over seven innings, striking out five.

Preston Cottrell took the loss for Owensboro RiverDawgs. The pitcher allowed five hits and six runs over two innings, striking out two.

Paducah Chiefs totaled 15 hits. Adam BrianBrant Brown, Reed, Akbar, and Cade Rogers all managed multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Brown and Brian each collected three hits to lead Paducah Chiefs.
