Bats were blistered as Paducah Chiefs defeated Franklin Duelers 15-7 on Saturday.
Franklin Duelers fired up the offense in the first inning. Franklin Duelers scored one run when Benny Hymes singled.
Paducah Chiefs pulled away for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third Cade Sammons tripled on a 3-0 count, scoring two runs, Brandon Hager doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs, and Riley Hawthorne singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Jacob Ehling pitched Paducah Chiefs to victory. Ehling surrendered two runs on two hits over two and a third innings, walking one. Will Gross and Ryan White entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Jake Ferguson took the loss for Franklin Duelers. The bulldog lasted two innings, allowing five hits and six runs while striking out one.
