Franklin Duelers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 13-4 loss to Paducah Chiefs on Tuesday.

The Franklin Duelers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Paducah Chiefs, giving up 13 runs.

Paducah Chiefs got on the board in the second inning. Ben Higdon drew a walk, scoring one run.

Paducah Chiefs scored five runs in the sixth inning. Cade Sammons and Jacob Brown each had RBIs in the big inning.

Corbin Hayden got the win for Paducah Chiefs. The southpaw allowed four hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out 12. Higdon threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Cade Vernon led things off on the hill for Franklin Duelers. Vernon allowed six hits and five runs over four innings, striking out four. Kolby Wall, Gage Holeman, and Pat Coleman each contributed in relief for Franklin Duelers.

Franklin Duelers smacked one home run on the day. Danny Garcia went deep in the fourth inning.

Lance Upright, Austin Ehren, Garcia, Ethan Racker, and Joey Johnston each collected one hit to lead Franklin Duelers.

Paducah Chiefs tallied 13 hits. Jacob Hager, Ja'lil Akbar, Sammons, and Cade Rogers all managed multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs.
