Madisonville Miners Leaves Victorious After Challenging Back-And-Forth Game Against Hoptown Hoppers

Madisonville Miners and Hoptown Hoppers traded blows on Tuesday in a back-and-forth affair, with Madisonville Miners eventually claiming a 14-10 victory. The game was tied at ten with Madisonville Miners batting in the bottom of the sixth when Justin Lauersdorf singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

There was plenty of action on the basepaths as Madisonville Miners collected 16 hits and Hoptown Hoppers had 13.

Hoptown Hoppers captured the lead in the second inning. Landon Choboy drove in three when Choboy homered.

Madisonville Miners took the lead for good with three runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Kevin Brooks doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Madisonville Miners put up three runs in the seventh inning. Calyn Halvorson and Brooks all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Todd Bangston was the winning pitcher for Madisonville Miners. The pitcher allowed two hits and two runs over two innings, striking out two. Myles MartinezMikey Clements, and Tyler Yotkewich all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Bracken Rice took the loss for Hoptown Hoppers. The righthander allowed five hits and three runs over three innings, striking out two and walking zero.

Grant Golomb started the game for Hoptown Hoppers. The righty surrendered eight runs on nine hits over three innings, striking out two Nick Lallathin started the game for Madisonville Miners. The pitcher surrendered eight runs on ten hits over five innings, striking out four and walking one

Madisonville Miners launched one home run on the day. Brennon Williams had a long ball in the third inning.

Madisonville Miners racked up 16 hits. Justin RamirezWill Gibbs, Halvorson, Brooks, and Lauersdorf all managed multiple hits for Madisonville Miners. Gibbs and Ramirez all had three hits to lead Madisonville Miners.
