Paducah Chiefs lost the lead late in a 12-8 defeat to Madisonville Miners on Wednesday. Madisonville Miners was down 8-6 in the top of the ninth inning when Tyler Belcher singled on a 1-1 count, scoring three runs.

Paducah Chiefs collected nine hits and Madisonville Miners had 17 in the high-scoring affair.

Paducah Chiefs took an early lead in the first inning when Bailey Reed doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.

In the top of the seventh inning, Madisonville Miners tied things up at five when Brennon Williams doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Hunter Davis was credited with the victory for Madisonville Miners. Davis allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking zero. Myles Martinez and Connor Phalin entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Jacob Brown took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. The righty surrendered four runs on four hits over one inning, walking one.

Lane Lamberth started the game for Paducah Chiefs. Lamberth allowed six hits and four runs over four innings, striking out five Riley Harris started the game for Madisonville Miners. The righty went six innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out three and walking one

Madisonville Miners socked two home runs on the day. Reed Latimer had a four-bagger in the ninth inning. Justin Ramirez had a long ball in the first inning.

Paducah Chiefs tallied nine hits. Adam Brian and Brandon Hager all collected multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Hager and Brian each collected two hits to lead Paducah Chiefs.

Madisonville Miners tallied 17 hits in the game. Williams, Latimer, Evan Liddie, Belcher, Ramirez, Griffin Adkins, and Will Gibbs all managed multiple hits for Madisonville Miners.
