Big First Inning Propels Full Count Rhythm Win Over Franklin Duelers

Six runs in the first inning led Full Count Rhythm past Franklin Duelers 10-4 on Friday. Full Count Rhythm big bats were led by Tyler Thompson, Matthew Batts, and Sam Slaughter, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Full Count Rhythm got things started in the first inning when Thompson singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Austin Sandifer was the winning pitcher for Full Count Rhythm. The pitcher went one and one-third innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out two, and walking one. Will Newell and Hayden Frank entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Pat Coleman took the loss for Franklin Duelers. The hurler lasted one and one-third innings, allowing six hits and seven runs while striking out two.

Luke Sinnard started the game for Full Count Rhythm. The righty lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out five

Full Count Rhythm launched two home runs on the day. Slaughter went yard in the first inning. Batts had a long ball in the first inning.

Full Count Rhythm racked up 11 hits. Batts, Thompson, and Brennan DuBose each had multiple hits for Full Count Rhythm. Batts went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Full Count Rhythm in hits.

Franklin Duelers totaled eight hits in the game. Davis Burick and Austin Ehren each collected multiple hits for Franklin Duelers. Burick led Franklin Duelers with three hits in five at-bats.
