Dubois County Bombers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 5-2 loss to Owensboro RiverDawgs on Tuesday. Owensboro RiverDawgs took the lead on a home run in the second inning.

In the second inning, Owensboro RiverDawgs got their offense started. Bailey Falkenstein hit a solo homer.

Owensboro RiverDawgs scored three runs in the sixth inning. Owensboro RiverDawgs scored its runs on a home run by Lucas Gulazyuski.

Nick Belcher pitched Owensboro RiverDawgs to victory. The right-hander allowed two hits and one run over five innings, striking out two. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Noah Cantleberry, Logan King, Sammy Barnett, and Ethan Cernahous all securing outs and ultimately the victory. Cernahous recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Owensboro RiverDawgs.

Brett Walton took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. The righty lasted six innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out four.

Owensboro RiverDawgs mashed two home runs on the day. Falkenstein had a long ball in the second inning. Gulazyuski went deep in the sixth inning.

Tyler Wheeler led Dubois County Bombers with two hits in three at-bats.

Gulazyuski went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Owensboro RiverDawgs in hits. Owensboro RiverDawgs stole five bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Ben Clark led the way with two.
