Muhlenberg County Stallions Fall Short To Franklin Duelers, 5-3

Franklin Duelers got things moving in the first inning. Luis Perez singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.

Muhlenberg County Stallions knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning, when Brandon Scheurer grounded out, scoring one run.

Franklin Duelers pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Davis Burick singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs and Jack Rando's sac fly scored one run for Franklin Duelers.

Joseph Delgado took the win for Franklin Duelers. Delgado surrendered one run on two hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one. Nate Cunningham threw three and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Nick Casey took the loss for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The righty surrendered four runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out six.

Cade Vernon started the game for Franklin Duelers. The ace allowed two hits and two runs over three innings, striking out three

Zach Chowansky, Tanner BrayNick Lucido, and Eli Burkhart each collected one hit to lead Muhlenberg County Stallions.

Franklin Duelers totaled nine hits in the game. Benny Hymes, Perez, and Alex Miller each collected multiple hits for Franklin Duelers. Franklin Duelers was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Lance Upright made the most plays with 15.
