Dubois County Bombers Can't Catch Up To Henderson Flash

Dubois County Bombers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 6-3 loss to Henderson Flash on Wednesday. Henderson Flash scored on an error, a single by Noah Nelson, and a walk by Nick Rucker in the second inning.

Henderson Flash pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second an error scored one run for Henderson Flash, Nelson singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, and Rucker drew a walk, scoring one run.

Jackson Cole pitched Henderson Flash to victory. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out two and walking one. Tyler Schultz, Coy Burns, and Dylan Beier all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. Schultz recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Henderson Flash.

Conner Fries took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. The pitcher surrendered three runs on three hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Dubois County Bombers racked up nine hits on the day. Guy Lipscomb and Tucker Schank all managed multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Lipscomb led Dubois County Bombers with four hits in four at-bats.

Henderson Flash racked up ten hits. Nelson, Derek Wagner, and Rucker each managed multiple hits for Henderson Flash. Nelson went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Henderson Flash in hits.
