Hoptown Hoppers took the lead late and defeated Owensboro RiverDawgs 5-4 on Friday. Hoptown Hoppers was down 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Riley Garczynski singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Hoptown Hoppers earned the victory despite allowing Owensboro RiverDawgs to score three runs in the sixth inning. Owensboro RiverDawgs scored its runs on a triple by Chase Harlan.

Hoptown Hoppers got things started in the second inning when Kurt Paldino hit a solo homer.
