Paducah Chiefs Drops Game To Muhlenberg County Stallions After Late Score

Paducah Chiefs lost the lead late in an 8-6 defeat to Muhlenberg County Stallions on Friday. The game was tied at four with Muhlenberg County Stallions batting in the top of the eighth when an error scored one run for Muhlenberg County Stallions.

Despite the loss, Paducah Chiefs did collect nine hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Muhlenberg County Stallions had nine hits on the way to victory.

Paducah Chiefs fired up the offense in the first inning. Jacob Hager drove in one when Hager doubled.

Muhlenberg County Stallions evened things up at four in the top of the sixth inning when Nick Lucido doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Eric Hartless led the Muhlenberg County Stallions to victory on the hill. Hartless surrendered two runs on three hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two. Eli Burkhart threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Burkhart recorded the last out to earn the save for Muhlenberg County Stallions.

Trent Hyde took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. The pitcher allowed four hits and six runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two.

Jordan Schaefer started the game for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The righty went six innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out three Trey Schultz started the game for Paducah Chiefs. The lefthander lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out two

Paducah Chiefs collected nine hits. Riley Hawthorne, Hager, and Ben Higdon all had multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Hawthorne went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits.

Muhlenberg County Stallions tallied nine hits in the game. Brandon Scheurer and Hartless all collected multiple hits for Muhlenberg County Stallions. Muhlenberg County Stallions was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Scheurer had the most chances in the field with seven.
