Madisonville Miners Almost Erases 6-Run Deficit In Loss To Henderson Flash

Henderson Flash got out to a six-run lead in the fifth inning and held on for a 7-5 victory over Madisonville Miners on Friday. Madisonville Miners scored four runs in the failed comeback on a home run by Joshua Keating in the sixth and a double by Reed Latimer in the eighth.

Henderson Flash knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the third inning. Henderson Flash scored one run when Trevor Campbell doubled.

Henderson Flash pulled away for good with six runs in the fifth inning. Blake Ciuffetelli pitched Henderson Flash to victory. The lefty allowed five hits and three runs over six innings, striking out six. Joel Archer and Gavin Braunecker entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Braunecker recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Henderson Flash.

Beau Coffman took the loss for Madisonville Miners. Coffman lasted four innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out five.
