Paducah Chiefs stole the lead late in the game in a 2-1 victory over Madisonville Miners on Wednesday. The game was tied at one with Paducah Chiefs batting in the bottom of the eighth when Krayton Morse drew a walk, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Paducah Chiefs pitchers struck out six, while Madisonville Miners pitchers sat down six.

Colin Hawkins was the winning pitcher for Paducah Chiefs. The bulldog surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, walking zero. Evan Oakley threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Oakley recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Paducah Chiefs.

Will Kiesel took the loss for Madisonville Miners. The southpaw surrendered two runs on two hits over one-third of an inning, striking out one and walking one.

Corbin Guthman started the game for Paducah Chiefs. The righty went seven innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out four Jake O'Connell started the game for Madisonville Miners. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on one hit over six and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one

Gage Griggs, Cody Holub, and Brody Williams each collected one hit to lead Paducah Chiefs.
