Muhlenberg County Stallions Grabs Lead In Eighth Inning To Defeat Louisville Jockeys

Muhlenberg County Stallions ran off with the lead late in the game in a 10-8 victory over Louisville Jockeys on Thursday. The game was tied at eight with Muhlenberg County Stallions batting in the bottom of the eighth when Garrison Goins drew a walk, scoring one run.

Louisville Jockeys scored six runs in the third inning, but Muhlenberg County Stallions still managed to pull out the victory. Jaret Humphrey, Joey Humphrey, Jonah Wichman, Austin Taylor, and Austin Griffin each drove in runs during the inning.

After Louisville Jockeys scored one run in the top of the seventh, Muhlenberg County Stallions answered with one of their own. Louisville Jockeys scored when Wichman singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Muhlenberg County Stallions then answered when Goins drew a walk, scoring one run.

Muhlenberg County Stallions put up five runs in the fourth inning. Goins, Brennon Williams, and Sam Pinckert all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Kail Hill got the win for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The pitcher lasted one and one-third innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero. Aaron Huibregtse and Manning Webb entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Thomas Blaydes took the loss for Louisville Jockeys. The righthander lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and four runs while striking out two.

Isaac Rose started the game for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The southpaw allowed five hits and six runs over three innings, striking out three Keegan Kuha started the game for Louisville Jockeys. The lefthander lasted three innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out four

Williams went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Muhlenberg County Stallions in hits.

Louisville Jockeys racked up eight hits. RJ Latkowski and Wichman each collected multiple hits for Louisville Jockeys.
