Fulton Railroaders stayed in it until the end, but Madisonville Miners pulled away late in a 9-5 victory on Wednesday. The game was tied at five with Madisonville Miners batting in the top of the sixth when James Basham singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Madisonville Miners took an early lead in the second inning. Gavin Kriegel doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

Fulton Railroaders knotted the game up at five in the bottom of the fifth inning, when Brooks Cooner doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Madisonville Miners took the lead for good with two runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth, Sam Cooper induced Kriegel to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Fulton Railroaders tallied three runs in the fifth inning. Fulton Railroaders batters contributing to the big inning included Ryan Lee and Cooner, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Madisonville Miners scored five runs in the second inning. Madisonville Miners' big inning was driven by a walk by Basham, by Evan Liddie, an error on a ball put in play by Luke Mitchell, and a double by Kriegel.

Joe Peca earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Madisonville Miners. The lefthander allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out seven. Brayden Siren and Joel Connors entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Cooper took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. Cooper went four and a third innings, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out six, and walking zero.

Ryan Evans started the game for Fulton Railroaders. The pitcher went one inning, allowing five runs on three hits Will Kiesel started the game for Madisonville Miners. Kiesel surrendered two runs on four hits over four innings, striking out six

Lee led Fulton Railroaders with two hits in two at-bats.

Jake O'Connell went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Madisonville Miners in hits. Madisonville Miners didn't commit a single error in the field. Mitchell had the most chances in the field with 18.
