Dubois County Bombers Wins Back-And-Forth Affair Against Madisonville Miners

Dubois County Bombers defeated Madisonville Miners 15-12 in a back-and-forth affair on Saturday. Dubois County Bombers was down 12-11 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Connor Oxley singled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.

Cade Gudalis collected four hits in five at-bats to help lead Dubois County Bombers to victory. Gudalis homered in the third, singled in the fourth, singled in the sixth, and singled in the eighth.

Dubois County Bombers took an early lead in the second inning. Drew Howard singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Dubois County Bombers knotted the game up at 11 in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Chase Taylor singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Madisonville Miners scored five runs in the third inning. Madisonville Miners' big bats were led by Evan Liddie, Gavin Kriegel, and Kobe Jones, all driving in runs in the frame.

David Ellison got the win for Dubois County Bombers. Ellison allowed two hits and one run over one inning, striking out two and walking zero. Ben Aird and Cory Anderson entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Anderson recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Dubois County Bombers.

Joel Connors took the loss for Madisonville Miners. Connors allowed three hits and three runs over one inning, striking out one.

Beau Coffman started the game for Madisonville Miners. The righthander lasted three and a third innings, allowing four hits and eight runs while striking out four Tavien Tigg started the game for Dubois County Bombers. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing five hits and seven runs while striking out one

Dubois County Bombers tallied one home run on the day. Gudalis had a four-bagger in the third inning.

Dubois County Bombers had 15 hits in the game. Gudalis, Howard, and Victor Alvarez Martinez all had multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Howard and Gudalis each collected four hits to lead Dubois County Bombers.
