Paducah Chiefs Takes Victory Over Henderson Flash, 4-3

Paducah Chiefs took home a 4-3 victory over Henderson Flash on Saturday.

Paducah Chiefs got things started in the first inning when Gage Griggs singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Henderson Flash knotted the game up at one in the top of the second inning, when Nick Wimber singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.

Paducah Chiefs pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Elijah Brooks doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring three runs.

Jose Monegro got the win for Paducah Chiefs. The bulldog surrendered three runs on four hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out seven. Evan Oakley and Corey Cissell entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Cissell recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Paducah Chiefs.

J.D. Willis took the loss for Henderson Flash. Willis allowed two hits and three runs over two innings, striking out one.

Paducah Chiefs tallied eight hits in the game. Kyler Carmack, Slater Schield, and Griggs each managed multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Griggs, Schield, and Carmack each managed two hits to lead Paducah Chiefs. Paducah Chiefs was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Krayton Morse had the most chances in the field with nine.

Drew Dalton went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Henderson Flash in hits. Henderson Flash didn't commit a single error in the field. Lincoln Hackim had the most chances in the field with five.
