Madisonville Miners Falls To Henderson Flash After Seventh Inning Score

Madisonville Miners lost the lead late in a 9-7 defeat to Henderson Flash on Sunday. The game was tied at six with Henderson Flash batting in the top of the seventh when Adam Euler's sac fly scored one run for Henderson Flash.

Despite the loss, Madisonville Miners did collect 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Henderson Flash had 12 hits on the way to victory.

Madisonville Miners got things started in the first inning when Austin Baal singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.

Madisonville Miners scored four runs in the second inning. Jackson Lindsey and Baal each drove in runs during the inning.

Henderson Flash scored six runs in the fifth inning. Grant Mangrum, Casey Sorg, Jeff Hoffman, and Ben Berenda each had RBIs in the frame.

Brady Joyner earned the win for Henderson Flash. The righty allowed two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out seven. Caid Sanders and Nolan Patterson entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Patterson recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Henderson Flash.

Brayden Siren took the loss for Madisonville Miners. The righthander lasted two innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out three and walking one.

Zach Thomas started the game for Henderson Flash. Thomas went two innings, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out three Cameron Goble started the game for Madisonville Miners. The righty lasted four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out seven

Madisonville Miners tallied 11 hits in the game. Baal, Kobe Jones, Jackson Owen, and Evan Liddie each racked up multiple hits for Madisonville Miners. Baal went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Madisonville Miners in hits.

Henderson Flash totaled 12 hits. Hoffman and Mangrum each collected multiple hits for Henderson Flash. Hoffman led Henderson Flash with four hits in five at-bats. Henderson Flash didn't commit a single error in the field. Berenda had 13 chances in the field, the most on the team.
