Luis Vergara-Schoonewolf would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base on Monday, driving in seven on three hits to lead Hoptown Hoppers past Paducah Chiefs 13-1 on Monday. Vergara-Schoonewolf drove in runs on a double in the first, a double in the second, a sacrifice fly in the fourth, and a home run in the seventh.

In the first inning, Hoptown Hoppers got their offense started when Vergara-Schoonewolf doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Hoptown Hoppers scored five runs in the seventh inning. Hoptown Hoppers' offense in the inning was led by Sean Sullivan, Joshua Rodriguez, and Vergara-Schoonewolf, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Luke Genier earned the victory on the mound for Hoptown Hoppers. The pitcher went six innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out six. Chase Harlan threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Corbin Guthman took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. The pitcher surrendered eight runs on six hits over four innings, striking out three.

Hoptown Hoppers smacked one home run on the day. Vergara-Schoonewolf had a four-bagger in the seventh inning.

Hoptown Hoppers saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Vergara-Schoonewolf, Rodriguez, and Ren Tachioka each racked up multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Vergara-Schoonewolf led Hoptown Hoppers with three hits in three at-bats.
