Henderson Flash Overcomes Muhlenberg County Stallions In Face Of Early 3-Run Inning

Despite allowing three runs in the third inning, Henderson Flash defeated Muhlenberg County Stallions 9-4 on Friday. The offensive firepower by Muhlenberg County Stallions was led by Kevin Sosa and Brennon Williams, all driving in runs in the inning.

Henderson Flash captured the lead in the second inning. Payton Matthews hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run.

Henderson Flash took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Colton Evans's sac fly scored one run for Henderson Flash, Kyle LaVanchy singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, and Casey Sorg singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Zach Thomas was credited with the victory for Henderson Flash. The right-hander surrendered four runs on six hits over six innings, striking out four and walking zero. J.D. Willis threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Manning Webb took the loss for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The lefthander went three innings, allowing six runs on nine hits, striking out two, and walking one.

Henderson Flash launched one home run on the day. Adam Euler had a homer in the seventh inning.

Henderson Flash racked up 12 hits in the game. Sorg, Evans, and LaVanchy all managed multiple hits for Henderson Flash. Sorg went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Henderson Flash in hits.

Muhlenberg County Stallions racked up seven hits on the day. Sosa and Williams each managed multiple hits for Muhlenberg County Stallions. Muhlenberg County Stallions was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Garrett Dennis had the most chances in the field with nine.
